cga 580 cylinder valve

High-quality CGA 580 cylinder valve designed for high-pressure inert gas cylinders, including nitrogen, argon, and helium.
Manufactured from forged brass with precision-machined sealing surfaces for leak-tight performance and long service life.
Available in 3/4″-14 NGT and 1″-11½ NGT inlet threads with optional PRD configurations.
Ideal for industrial gas distributors, cylinder manufacturers, and OEM applications.

The CGA 580 cylinder valve is the industry-standard outlet valve used for high-pressure inert gas cylinders. Designed according to Compressed Gas Association (CGA) standards, the CGA-580 connection is assigned to non-flammable inert gases, ensuring safe regulator compatibility and preventing cross-connection.

This valve is commonly used for cylinders containing nitrogen, argon, helium, neon, krypton, and xenon. It is engineered for durability, leak-tight performance, and long-term reliability in demanding industrial environments.

Automated assembly and testing processes ensure exceptional quality
100% helium leak tested
Heavy-duty forged brass body for durability and high pressure
Precisely machined internal components meet the most stringent international valve performance standards
Pressure Relief Device (PRD) is a unitized plug design that provides excellent flow characteristics, ensures proper assembly and tamper resistance
Metal-to-metal seal below bonnet threads prevents pressure in the threads at top of valve body
Direct-drive stem design with optimized O-ring (GV) or double O-ring (GVHM) seal reduces friction and operates at exceptionally low torque levels
Tapped for dip tube as required
Must be installed by a qualified cylinder technician
Compressed gas cylinders and valves are dangerous. Use caution.

Applications

  • Industrial Manufacturing: Welding shielding gas, nitrogen purging, helium leak detection
  • Laboratories: Carrier gas systems, analytical equipment, research applications
  • Food & Beverage: Nitrogen pressurization, modified atmosphere packaging
  • HVAC & Testing: Pressure testing and system purging

Safety & Compliance

CGA-580 valves are part of a standardized safety system that prevents incorrect gas connections. Each CGA number corresponds to a specific gas family, minimizing cross-connection risk.

  • Compliant with CGA standards
  • Suitable for DOT cylinder requirements
  • Manufactured under ISO quality systems
  • Oxygen-clean or industrial-clean service available

Each valve undergoes dimensional inspection, leak testing, and pressure integrity verification before shipment.
